Design & Development Process

McClarin Plastics - FacilityAt McClarin Composites, not only are we a plastic manufacturer, we are a hybrid design-build contract manufacturer with core competencies that revolve around industrial design, diversified plastics molding and a full range of assembly services.

It is our experience that the most cost-effective plastic solutions occur when we can participate from initial design conception to engineering through to the manufacturing process.

McClarin Composites believes in the “Power of Alliance,” which is the intensity of accomplishment created by client and supplier collaboration. Regardless of the product development opportunity (new product design, existing product change, or continuous product improvement), early supplier involvement can result in increased profit margins by reducing the time lapse and improving quality between design and production.

Under the hybrid, design-build contract manufacturer model, we are also able to leverage expertise and resources like industrial design, purchasing and project management. McClarin Industrial Designers, Project Engineering Management and staff provide concepting, part and assembly design, prototypes, tooling engineering and development. Additionally, our design review process involves engineering, sales, and manufacturing, and provides our customers with a focused plastic design and development process.

During the design-build process, McClarin Composites utilizes state-of-the-art technology to achieve the solution to fit your needs such as:

  • Faro Arm Digitizing used for Reverse Engineering
  • Latest versions of SolidWorks and Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire
  • Corel Draw
